A Change in the Weather
13 May 2023
Neverstill, Oregon
Almost as abruptly as throwing a light switch, the weather has shifted dramatically into midsummer-like patterns. Last year we had a very similar development at summer solstice, which puts us about a month ahead of the curve in comparison. The animals and humans are welcoming the warm nights and bright sunny days. Fields and forest alike are exploding with growth. We are experiencing many changes and growth in our farm and business as well this spring and can’t wait to share it all with you, our friends, family, supporters and fellow foodies!
Rose is on the way to Seattle’s University District this morning with a fully loaded Magic Meat Truck. I am following close behind with a gaggle of children! The spring chickens, poussins and coquelets are delightful, as are the gorgeous, fat, golden ducks, phenomenal dry-aged beef ribeye steaks, and delicate lamb chops. Rose has crafted a stunning selection of smoked meats, pâtés and rillettes. With our budding spring schedule we will be at University District Seattle today from 10am - 2pm. We will be back in Portland at our new Thurman Street space Sunday 10am-2pm and again Monday afternoon. We will not be at Ballard or Vashon this week. We continue to offer shipping to your home in Washington and Oregon. Stay tuned as our schedules develop and evolve.
We are eager to see you all in the Magic Meat Truck this week!
xoxo, George, Rose and kids
