A New Piano
31 December 2022
Birkenfeld, Oregon
During our ongoing move from Vashon Island to our new NeverStill Ranch located in Northwestern Oregon, my dear, well worn grand piano was left behind. Playing the piano is a requisite and therapeutic pasttime of mine, and every day that passes without a few moments playing the instrument is a day which leaves me with a tinge of melancholy. For Christmas this year, Rose lovingly sourced a beautiful used Kimball Grand piano from Craigslist and with the help of our dear friend Jonas of Kirsop Farm, transported and delivered it to our NeverStill Farmhouse. I am thrilled to have 88 keys at my fingertips to soothe my tired and frazzled nerves after a day of wrangling critters and children about the farm. Thank you sweet Rose for the best gift of my life, and to dear Jonas for his generous help!
Rose made a festive Pâté en Croûte this week! This is an item that has been on our wish list for many years. Such a lovely treat! Excellent work Rose! In addition, we have stocked the Magic Meat Truck with plump, fatty ducks and chickens, a grand selection of sausages, gorgeous smoked bacon, a lovely selection of French, cheeses, salami, prosciutto, beef, pork and lamb.
Rose will be operating the Magic Meat Truck this weekend on our normal schedule for both New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. Find her today at University District, this evening on Vashon Island, tomorrow at Ballard, and Monday evening in Portland! Details of time and address are at the bottom of this emai.
Xoxo,
