Lamb is back!

We finally harvested our first lamb from the Neverstill Ranch property. Raised and grazed on Nehalem valley pastures, it’s looking as good as anything we’ve ever done. Limited quantities.

Prosciutto, mustard and construction
Life always seems to be a work in progress. This is particularly true on a farm. My brother Jared has been helping me upgrade the facilities on our new Neverstill ranch property in the Nehalem valley of Columbia County in NW Oregon.  We are taking advantage of the late summer weather to prepare for the winter rains. This week involved framing in a wall and doorway to our new meat processing facility which we have named the ChopShop. While Jared built walls, I built prosciutto and mustard, both of which will be fully mature by next summer. Work in progress.
In the meantime, little Roman, who will turn four this month is becoming quite the Meatcutter!  Another Work in Progress.

River
And yet another WIP, I snapped a photo of baby River on my way out the door at 5:30 this morning. He will be two weeks old on Monday!

Vashon Popup this Saturday, 5:30-6:30 pm
We will be keeping our Vashon popup short this week,  5:30pm-6:30m Saturday evening, 4 September 2021, at our Vashon farm property,
