We awoke to find a light blanket of snow covering the farm Tuesday morning.
I figured I would show the kids how to make a snowman, or at least give it a try. There wasn't a lot of snow, but it seemed doable. We started with a tiny golf ball sized snowball and rolled it around until it was the size of a soccer ball. The kids loved the concept, but then decided it was more fun to kick the ball, which resulted in lots of little pieces, which then turned into a mini snowball fight. It was jolly fun until little toes and fingers became too cold and we unbundled into the farmhouse and made our favorite breakfast; crêpes with summer berry jam! As I stood at the stove cooking the thin pancakes, I mused about the "Snowball Effect", and how it can be a good thing, like accelerating ones way out of debt, or a bad thing, such as when circumstances careen out of our control. I decided next time a vexing life situation snowballs into a monstrosity, I will kick into tiny, more manageable pieces. And then have crêpes with berry jam!
I am eager to see each of you in the Magic Meat Truck this weekend. We have many delights for the holiday week, including gorgeous, fatty Christmas goose.
Xoxo.
